Bambi Alexandra is an Americana singer and songwriter with deep roots in the Blues, Folk, and Country. She has developed her own style, which is both soulful and downhome. She has performed all over the Upper Mid-West, from festival stages to VFW’s, hotels to honky-tonks.
Born in New York and raised in Minnesota, Bambi grew up singing the songs of Joan Baez, Woody Guthrie, Dolly Parton, and Kris Kristofferson. On long car trips, of which there were many, she worked her way through the Chicago Old Town School of Music catalog. As a teenager she discovered (by sneaking into dive bars) and fell in love with the Blues. Etta James, Koko Taylor, Muddy Waters…. a whole new world of music opened up for her. The confluence of these early influences is what has created her sound. Bambi writes the lyrics and the music for her songs.
A dynamic and energetic stage performer, Bambi can belt out the Blues, bring a quiet intensity to a sultry ballad, and tell a story with forthright honesty. She delights in connecting and communicating directly with her audience. A singer that is earthy and enchanting, she is not to be missed!
